How It Works
It seems that laser hair removal is offered on every other corner these days. But how effective the treatment is really depends on technique, and the quality of the laser being used. At SlimmThicc Med Spa & Aesthetics, our goal is to get your treatments done as quickly and as comfortably as possible with as few treatments we can.
The Procedure
We use the InMode device for hair removal. InMode technology is super effective as it targets hair at its root follicle and is safe for all skin tones. The procedure for hair removal is quick and painless. You will feel some heat, but it is quite tolerable. The upper lip takes between 10 and 15 minutes, so there’s not much in the way of a time commitment. You may be a bit red afterwards, but this subsides in as little as a few minutes, and as long as a few hours.
There are many, many businesses offering laser hair removal, and we’ve heard some pretty scary horror stories. These devices are very powerful, and if they aren’t being operated by a skilled technician you can develop burns, scarring, and hyper or hypo pigmentation in the treatment area. You may also find yourself going for 8 to 10 to 15 treatments and this is not normal. InMode has the capability to target hair right at its root in addition to being able to cover a large surface area. While being passed over targeted areas, the InMode device emits a diode laser beam that delivers heat to your hair follicle roots, which will eventually prevent your hair follicles from generating new hair growth.

How many treatments will I need?
Everyone is different, but we typically recommend on average 6 treatments in order to see the reduction of hair growth on all areas of the body. After that, you may need touch ups (which are so easy) once a year, depending on your hair growth.
