Depending on the treated areas, dermal filler treatments can last between 30-60 minutes. With no recovery time required, you can resume your normal activities immediately after your session.

Generally, anyone seeking to add volume to their face or reduce the signs of aging is a good candidate for this treatment. The specific type of dermal filler used will depend on your goals and the guidance of your injector.

During your consultation, be prepared to provide your full medical history, including any surgeries, chronic conditions, allergies, and a list of all medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, as well as any vitamins or supplements you take. Certain medications, like blood thinners, Advil, and Ibuprofen, should be discontinued at least one week prior to treatment to minimize bruising.

Who Should Avoid Dermal Fillers?

While allergic reactions are less common with hyaluronic acid-based fillers, you should avoid dermal fillers if you are allergic to any proteins used to make hyaluronic acid, have severe allergic reactions, are allergic to lidocaine, or have a bleeding disorder or are generally prone to bleeding.

If you have an injury near the injection site, wait until it heals before scheduling your appointment. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals or those trying to conceive should also postpone getting dermal fillers as the effects on pregnancy and nursing are unknown.

Results, Maintenance, and Pricing of Dermal Fillers

Many patients see immediate results from dermal fillers, with full effects typically visible within 48 hours. These results usually last anywhere from 6-12 months.

For sustained results, we recommend re-treating the area approximately every 6 months. If you choose not to continue treatments, your skin will gradually return to its pre-treatment state.
